Index Entry Lyric, topical [beg] My lords, I can hardly from weeping refrain
Location Philadelphia
Citation
NJJ.782.008
27 Feb 1782:32 (158)
From the Freeman's Journal.
A SPEECH THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SPOKEN BY THE KING OF THE
ISLAND OF BRITAIN TO HIS PARLIAMENT.
My lords, I can hardly from weeping refrain,
When I think of this year and it's cursed campaign.
But still it is folly to whine and to grieve,
For things will yet alter, I hope and believe.
